    Sally Hartman Named a YWCA Woman of Distinction

    Congratulations to Sally Kirby Hartman, APR for being named one of the 2016 Women of Distinction by the YWCA of South Hampton Roads! 

    Sally, vice president of communications for the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, was one of 11 women recognized at a luncheon on April 28. She was honored in the communications category. Sally is president of the Rotary Club of Norfolk and an instructor for Tidewater Community College’s Academy for Nonprofit Excellence.

    She’s a former journalist and longtime public school volunteer, and she helped to start a weekly soup kitchen. A former member of the PRSAHR Board, Sally was named PRSAHR’s Public Relations Practitioner of the Year in 2014. She is an alumna of LEAD Hampton Roads, one of Virginia’s premier leadership organizations. Her passion is helping nonprofits to be better storytellers.
