This year’s Pinnacle Awards Luncheon will be unlike any other as we celebrate our chapter’s 35^th anniversary! Join us for a trip down memory lane as we remanence about years past while also honoring and recognizing phenomenal PR work.

To help us celebrate, retired WVEC reporter Joe Flanagan is back as emcee for one more “Joe’s Job!” No stranger to Hampton Roads and no stranger to PRSA!  No, he didn't Emcee 35 years ago...but he was working at WTKR-TV 3 then. Co-hosting PM Magazine weeknights at 7pm is the job that brought Joe to Norfolk in 1980  from Dayton, Ohio, his hometown.

By 1985 Joe was entrenched at WVEC-TV as a features reporter. His popular "Joe's Job" series lasted until he retired 31 years later in 2016. These days, Joe fills in for Cathy Lewis on public radio WHRV, enjoys freelance projects, and is president of his Kiwanis Club in Virginia Beach. Joe is married to Cindy Butler who writes for The Virginia Beach Beacon and they've raised three children Allison, Patrick & Adrianne. Oh, and they have a dog named Luna.

We will also recognize three individuals for their outstanding work in public relations and dedication to the chapter:

	P. Lee Starkey Public Relations Professional of the Year Mary Prier, APR Marketing Manager, City of Virginia Beach Departement of Parks & Recreation
