We live in an advertising-centric world. Banner ads, pay-per-click ads, even native advertising all serve as means for brands to get in front of consumers. But advertising has become less effective and consumers are ad-weary. As PR practitioners know, the better alternative is generating earned media coverage - a channel that has more inherent trust than paid media channel. When a well-respected journalist or blogger writes about your brand, that single article has the potential to reach thousands of potential customers -- yet 70% of marketers say they don’t have enough data to determine how their earned media programs impact business results, making it difficult to build a case for an adequate budget. In this session, we will explore the rise of earned media and look at innovations finally making it possible to measure and attribute true Earned Media ROI.
