    This special workshop will take communications professionals beyond the basics of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to explore new ways to increase engagement and reach key audiences. It will highlight the latest tools in the ever-changing social media landscape. Register early: Only 70 seats available.

    Sarah Milston, founder and CEO of The Spark Mill, is a social media expert whose Richmond-based consulting firm has worked with more than 100 associations, nonprofits and businesses to help them harness creativity, strategy, and action. She is a social media power user who keeps up with ever-changing tools and tactics.

    Each year Sarah leads classes and workshops for organizations ranging from the Academy for Nonprofit Excellence to  the Virginia Volunteerism and Service Annual Conference. Nonprofit Learning Point has named her instructor of the year. She has presented to conferences related to housing, university communications and public service. Social media clients have included artoberVA, University of Virginia Radiology and Imaging, Shalom Farms and the Hampton Roads Community Foundation. She earned a degree in sociology from Mary Baldwin University and a master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. In 2017 Style magazine honored Sarah as a top 40 Under 40 award winner. When she isn’t at work, Sarah wrangles two very different young girls with the hope of raising good humans.
