Tiffany Russell Earns National APR Accreditation

Tiffany M. Russell, APR, director of public relations and interim vice president of marketing and research at the Virginia Beach Convention and Visitors Bureau, has earned the prestigious Accredited in Public Relations (APR) credential from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

“The APR is a mark of distinction among public relations professionals,” said Christine Brantley, APR, president of the PRSA Hampton Roads Chapter. “By completing the Accreditation in Public Relations process, Tiffany has demonstrated that she is a leader and mentor in the public relations field.”

The APR credential was established in 1964 to recognize public relations practitioners who have mastered the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to develop and implement strategic communications.

“I consider my APR to be one of my most noteworthy professional accomplishments that will benefit the organizations I serve for years to come,” Russell said. “I am grateful for the communications community throughout Coastal Virginia who provided unwavering support to me throughout this journey.”

Russell is now eligible to include the official APR endorsement in her title, hold chapter and society board positions exclusive to accredited members, and use her credential to advance her career. She currently chairs the PRSA Hampton Roads Chapter’s 2016 Pinnacle Awards.
