Membership Monday: Meet Vanessa Coria

After 20 years as a TV news anchor/reporter. Vanessa Coria was looking for a field where she could put her media experience and communication skills to work. PR seemed like a fit, so in 2015, she joined Meridian Group as a public relations counselor. She joined PRSA this year to continue to grow her knowledge of the field and meet other PR professionals.

If she wasn’t working in public relations, Vanessa knows exactly what she’d be doing. “I would be a gym rat, spending all of my time in my CrossFit gym,” she said. “I’d be looking for ways to show the world that regardless of your fitness level or injuries, CrossFit is for everyone.”

Now let’s really get to know Vanessa:

    1. If you could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of your life, where would you go and why? I will not pick just one! But I will say it would have to be an independent restaurant and not a chain. Most likely a dive where everybody knows my name and the food is good, not great, more like just right.

    2. What’s your favorite book (or movie or song) of all time? Why? Star Wars – Episodes IV, V and VI. Two words: Han Solo.

    3. What’s one thing about you that others are surprised to discover? My Star Wars and Star Trek nerdiness.

    4. What's the last picture you took with your phone? The guy from Auto Glass Now replacing my windshield, for a social post, of course.

    5. Name 5 people you'd invite to your dream dinner party. Dead or living?  Let’s go with dead first: Princess Diana, my Yiayia (greek grandmother), Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln and Leonard Nimoy. For the living: William Shatner, Elon Musk, Gary Vaynerchuk, Ivanka Trump and Oprah Winfrey.
