    SOLD OUT!

Ever wonder how the four-day-a-week HearSay With Cathy Lewis public affairs program works? For our Wednesday, Feb. 15 lunch meeting, PRSA Hampton Roads will take 40 people on a special behind-the-scenes visit to the live radio call-in show. Host Cathy Lewis and producer Morgan Chase will talk with us and then small groups will sit in the WHRV control room to see the noon show in action.

HearSay with Cathy Lewis is WHRV-FM's locally produced, public affairs radio call-in program that discusses issues important to Hampton Roads. Live Monday through Thursday from 12:00 p.m.to 1:00 p.m., the show reaches more than 52,000 listeners from Richmond to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. "HearSay with Cathy Lewis" has won the Virginia Association of Broadcasters Award for Best Radio Documentary or Public Affairs Show for many years running. In July 2004 "Port Folio Weekly" also named Cathy the Best Radio Personality in Hampton Roads. In 2009, Cathy received an honorary doctorate from Virginia Wesleyan College, was inducted into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame, and was honored with an L.D. Britt Community Service Award. HearSay's host and staff have had several reports on the PBS NewsHour, covering stories from our region which feature prominently in the national spotlight.

Note: Free parking is next to the WHRO/WHRV station. Parking permits will be provided. Since parking is limited carpooling is encouraged.
